Some clothes I was so glad to see go...they weren't my favorites and it was good to have a legitimate reason to excuse them from service in my house. But there were others that I really liked. Isn't it odd that a person can become so attached to something like an article of clothing?! Sometimes I am attached because of memories associated with the item. But, sometimes it's just pure silliness!
Whatever the reason, I was reminded as I was cleaning that I am a sojourner in this land. This is not my permanent home. It is my home for now but one day I will be with my Lord and Savior, worshipping at His feet and praising His name! I am looking forward to that day when I will see him face to face. Are you looking forward to that day, too?
Face to Face
by C. Breck
Face to face with Christ my Savior
Face to face--what will it be--
When with rapture I behold Him,
Jesus Christ, Who died for me?
Only faintly now I see Him,
With the darkling veil between;
But a blessed day is coming,
When His glory shall be seen.
What rejoicing in His presence,
When are banished grief and pain;
When the crooked ways are straightened,
And the dark things shall be plain.
Face to face! O blissful moment!
Face to face--to see and know;
Face to face with my Redeemer,
Jesus Christ Who loves me so!
Chorus:
Face to face I shall behold Him,
Far beyond the starry sky;
Face to face in all His glory,
I shall see Him by and by.

Hey you! I heard you've been sick... are you feeling any better?
I am feeling better. Thanks for asking! It was just a little stomach bug..missed the discipleship conference. Ah well...the Lord knows!! How is your cold? Any progress!?
Great hymn, Kelly!
One of my favorites!!
Hi Kelly!
Here's an idea if you still have those bags of clothes- have a closet swap! This is one of my favorite things because it meets lots of needs very simply: you get to have some fun fellowship with girlfriends, help each other out by providing new (to them), free wardrobe options, and clean out the closets. Who doesn't like free clothes?! Everybody brings something, and then whatever is left over can be taken to Goodwill or charity of choice. We try to do them twice a year- I'm actually going to one this Sunday, and I'm really looking forward to it! Some swaps are small and cozy, and then others, like this one, people bring everything (including shoes and accessories and maternity clothes...) and it's crazy but there are lots of options.
Anyway, just wanted to share because the Lord has provided for some of my needs through these swaps, and it's really fun to see our sisters' needs of fellowship and clothing being met so simply by each other.
Thus ends my longest comment ever =)
Sarah, I am blessed to know that you left your longest comment on MY blog! :-) Thanks for the thought on the clothes. This round is gone, but I will keep that idea in mind for the next time! We've done a similar thing in the past at our chapel, too, and so many have benefited! Thanks for the reminder!
