Jesus, Draw Me Ever Nearer

I arrived home safely on Tuesday after a month in Ireland. It was a wonderful trip and I can't wait to tell you all about it....once I'm at least a little recovered from the jet lag. Until then, I'll leave you with a song that has been on my mind today...

by Margaret Becker
Jesus, draw me ever nearer
As I labor through the storm;
You have called me to this passage,
And I'll follow, though I'm worn.

Jesus guide me through the tempest
Keep my spirit staid and sure;
When the midnight meets the morning,
Let me love You even more.

Let the treasures of the trial
Form with me as I go--
And at the end of this long passage,
Let me leave them at Your throne.

May this journey bring a blessing.
May I rise on wings of faith;
And at the end of my heart's testing,
With Your likeness let me wake.

"So we do not lose heart...for this momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison." II Corinthians 4:16-17
May whatever life brings you draw you ever closer to your Savior.

Is that a song you learned in Ireland? I don't think I've heard it before.
I can't wait to hear more about your trip...it has been so encouraging to see all that the Lord has done in and through you.
I was at Karen's today and she said a letter was read last night at prayer meeting, thanking the assembly and you girls for your service. I assume it was from the McKillens.

Actually, that song is from a CD I heard about when in Ireland. I bought it today and it is just sticking in my head, especially after yesterdays memorial service!

So thankful for your prayers and can't wait to really share all the Lord accomplished in the last month!
